Planning an Event After Social Distancing Ends
If this lock down has taught us anything so far, it’s that intention matters. We have to be intentional about our hygiene, intentional about our mindset and emotions, intentional about our finance, and intentional about…
WHAT MATTERS MOST.
When we apply that same intention and thought to planning an important event after social distancing ends and we are able to safely gather again, what does that look like?
WHAT MATTERS MOST?
For most, it’s the guests. Who is absolutely essential to attend? Family? Co-workers? High school best friends? Take a closer look at your guest list and see if there’s a way to refine who you want to surround yourself with.
Is it saving money? Are you penny pinching to purchase a home and now after having time to reflect have realized, $20,000 on catering isn’t so appealing after all and is better spent on a down payment? Again, slimming down the guest count can allow you to keep your wallet from being drained like that can of tuna we’ve been living on and instead put it towards something with more priority in the big picture of your life.
WHAT MATTERS MOST?
Is it the overall design/look and feel of your event? Reducing the overall headcount also allows you to maintain a detailed decor spread without feeling like you need to cut back on floral or rental upgrades. Bonus, you might even have some extra budget allowance to splurge on hot fried malasadas or a shave ice truck too!
Is it being able to have meaningful conversation and moments with your guests? Keeping a guest count over 50 makes any conversation limited as you’ll feel pulled to say hi to everyone which means you’ll be limited to small talk. Even better? Create intimate zones throughout the flow of your event for intentional moments for conversation.
Our lounge furniture rentals are the perfect addition and can be custom designed to fit the exact aesthetic of your event. From small groupings of just 4 chairs and some accent tables or a luxury lounge that seats 15, we know these spaces draw people to relax and get comfy. We can’t tell you how many weddings end with us forced to kick guests out of our lounges at 10pm because everyone is having such a swell time connecting and lounging together!
Whatever you decide is most important to you when planning your future event, remember what this time feels like now. Forced to distance ourselves from the people we love and care about most… when our highlight of the day is getting to video chat with our families. We’ve never been more grateful for our people and we think you’ll agree!
Wishing you health and joy,
The Roam Rentals Team
